In this months issue we bring to you a few key tips for cross training, a
new commercial out that entails Andre Agassi Versus Stefi Graf and the top

cross training such as running, sprints, side straddle hops and other

balls for cross training where players can get good stretching in Sign up

at your club or in your office common area. Together we can make this a fun

Hi all, I would like to bring up the debate of allowing coaches to coach
during matches. This would enable both players to have real-time access to
statistics, errors and the ability to pop a player out of a slump when they
really need it. Look at football, baseball and their signs they use, look at
soccer and rugby, they all have coaches. I believe that if we allowed for
coaches to be a part of the players game that it would add to the drama and
excitement of tennis. Now let's hear from you folks. Those for and against
this rule change please voice your opinions and why you are for aor against
coaching during play.

The Agassi Story by: Scott Bruno
It was 1990 and I was
twenty two years old and an Iron Star Warrior in the U.S. Army. While
stationed in W. Germany as a 22 year young warrior I ended up meeting a
beautiful young lady a year prior and married her, and as if in just
moments she became my pregnant wife seeking consulate paperwork in order
to head to the U.S.A. to meet my family and spend time with them in the
near future. In order to get all the needed papers and clearances we
found ourselves in downtown Frankfurt, in the hustle and bustle of the
fast paced downtown that all large cities have. After spending nearly a
full day working on getting paper straightened out it had quickly became
night time and shortly thereafter we found ourselves rushing across
cobbles stones trying not to trip due to the slippery factor from the
West European drenching rains. No umbrella, soaked and important papers
becoming soggy in hand, Sylvia, my pregnant love, felt relieved that we
had accomplished the worst of our tasks and would soon be on her way to
America to meet my family. On the flip side I would be heading off to a
war.
Just then, when all felt
so dismal, I noticed posters plastered onto the darkened, wet and rain
soaked lamp posts and buildings walls as we passed, but these posters
stood out because they were quite colorful, imagine that. With the year
being sometime around 1990 I do believe that it was still the era prior
to everyone being able to afford a 35mm Pentax, or Nikon, or any of
those wonderful picture making systems that, well, um, helped boost
peoples image.
Never the less, on the
colorful poster was none other than the young, long haired wild and
crazy kid from America that went by the name of Agassi and yes, not a
while later would be known for the epitomized saying of all American
lifestyle; "Image, is Everything." I peered at the poster, he was
wearing black with minimized pink, LOUD to say the least, Neon to feel
the most. I immediately smiled and grabbed Sylvia and said look!, "Look
Honey! Andre Agassi was playing here sometime ago!!" She quickly read
details that I hadn't seen and sure enough, the final of the tournament
was indeed, 10 minutes from the time that we had found the poster
glowing in the dark.
We asked a few strangers
in broken German where this match would be held and kept getting
directions that suggested that we were only a few miles from the center
that would house the final. But who was in it I thought? As we ran and
slipped, got wet and laughed together I would ask strangers excitedly,
"Do you know who is in the Tennis Final?!?!?!" "Do you know who is in
the Tennis Final?!?!?!" "Do you know who is in the Tennis Final?!?!?!"
No one knew. We were passing 10 minutes time when sure enough we found
ourselves in front of the indoor sttadt stadium in Frankfurt where the
match was taking place and out of breath by this time I asked one last
fellow before getting up to the window, "Do you know who is in the
Tennis Final?!?!?!" He said calmly in perfect English, "Andre Agassi and
Steffan Edberg". We were elated!!!!
The match was
incredible; it was the last of the classic killer serve and volleyers up
against the newly found ground pounding powerhouse style of Andre, who
by which would end up also changing the sport for ever. They crushed
winners back and forth and Agassi avoided a couple of match points when
I had yelled for him so loud from the upper deck, while I spilled my
beer on the Germans rooting for Edberg in front of me Andre stopped play
for a moment, peered up to me, most likely the ONLY American within
hundreds of miles of this house, and he waved a hand my way and smiled.
hahahha! I laughed profusely and got even louder as it went on. Tight as
ever, in a tough final set, Agassi put Edberg away for the win, and as
my wife and I hugged and screamed in excitement we couldn’t help but
notice the silence in the Stadt Stadium..... and in noticing the silence
we both stopped, peered down unto the court and sure enough, there was
Andre looking up at us with a large grin of which he followed with a
small wave and headed for his next goal.
This was a wonderful
experience, my most treasured professional tennis memory. I would love
to hear others. Does anyone have any stories they can share?
I have one more I can
share, but I can't share it until his career is finished...... heehe
<Grin> I will give one hint though, the story has to do with some very
up close pictures I have of Andre and Gil and the fam.... while at the
SAP Open a tad few years back.
He shall be missed, what
a class act and wonderful person. A great sportsman for this wonderful
sport was Mr. Agassi, but I doubt he is very much done with tennis, and
so, I look forward to growing old with him, as I hope you will too.

DONE! 08/08/06

Hi Tennis Enthusiast,
I just got my hands on a fitness video that was originally
intended only for paying students of 13+ year fitness expert and former
tennis champion Todd Scott's brand new "Igniting Your Game" Inner Circle
membership.
...and I also got permission from Todd to give it to you "on the
house" with his compliments.
FITNESS VIDEO
You see, Todd is in the middle of recording a series of step-by-
step videos that will be included with his brand new monthly Inner Circle
membership when it's released to the tennis community on August 15.
He did some test recording in his facility and was about to
scrap this entire video because he wasn't happy with the
lighting. But one of his tennis players caught a glimpse of
it after a training session and begged Todd to let him take a
copy of the video home.
While the lighting might not be in line with Todd's standards,
the content is solid, informative, and could save you countless
hours of wasted effort in your tennis fitness training
efforts.
In this video, you will learn:
** How weight training CAN make you bulky and slow. But tweak just one thing
and you'll be zipping around the court like a cheetah. and smashing shots
like the Nadal.
** The top mistake that most people make when 'weight lifting for tennis',
and how you could be actually hurting your game if you're making this
mistake.
** The proper way to train to ignite your tennis game. And it's not what you
think!
This is truly a rare chance for you to get a "sneak peek" at
this exclusive video content that was only meant to be seen by
paying students of Todd's "Igniting Your Game" Inner Circle.
Here's the deal, though. This is a 6 minute, 13 second video,
which means it's going to take up a lot of website resources
when thousands of tennis enthusiasts such as yourself begin to
watch it. Todd's going to do his best to keep the video online,
but if too many people request it, his website could crash. So
the sooner you get to it, the higher the likelihood it will
still be online. Check for yourself here:
VIDEO

I think you're going to learn some excellent fitness concepts in
this video, and I hope you enjoy it.

P.S. On the link where you can get the video, Rob also gives you
access to his 37-page Power Fitness Principles consumer guide
